Hi, I'm Daniel
I’m Daniel M., an Engineering Technologist with a passion for solving real-world problems at the intersection of energy, software, and infrastructure. As the Chief Technical Engineer at Solergy in Texas, I’ve led the design and deployment of large-scale Virtual Power Plant (VPP) programs and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for grid stabilization. My work spans system architecture, IIoT integration, database and UI development, and renewable energy innovation.
With a hands-on approach to both hardware and software, I’ve built everything from workflow management platforms to real-time energy monitoring interfaces and employee time tracking systems. I’m currently exploring the convergence of AI, 5G, and digital twins to push the boundaries of smart energy systems.
Driven by curiosity, grounded in ethics, and motivated by long-term impact, I aim to create resilient and accessible technologies that empower both industries and communities.

With over eight years of industry experience, my career has centered around bridging technical innovation with real-world energy challenges. I’ve led high-impact projects across Texas and China, working closely with OEMs to co-develop energy storage technologies, cloud-based control systems, and integrated user interfaces for scalable deployment.
Much of my recent work has focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and their role in stabilizing modern grids, especially as Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) continue to shift the energy landscape. I’ve helped architect and deploy utility-scale VPP (Virtual Power Plant) solutions that combine hardware, software, and data to enhance resilience, responsiveness, and economic value in deregulated markets.
My portfolio encompasses everything from off-grid power plants to secure backend infrastructure and monitoring dashboards, as well as the field-level installation of DER systems, energy storage systems, and IIoT systems that bridge it all together.
